"The Making Little Workshop was established in 2012, it was grown out of a deep appreciation of the natural enviroment. We seek to make beautiful, long lasting cherished products that have great connection with nature and can be passed down through generations. The objects are handmade one off pieces.
The pieces are made using traditional craft skills but have a modern delicate design, inspired by the living world around us. We only use locally sourced materials, which means that we keep our enviromental foorprint small and work in harmony with our surroundings. The enviroment and our impact to it, are our guiding principles and shapes our designs. Please get in touch for a chat." John Egan

The wall hooks come from my need to use all parts of the tree, normally the top canopy of a tree would be chipped. They have great elegance and quaility and a shame to loose this to the ground. I have made a dovetail connection so when they are on your wall the screw and hidden for a touch of magic. They are all one off pieces because that is what nature does.
Hardwood Platters are all unique. The edges are hand carved with a burnished edge, a technique of burning the edges. There is a slight delve in the center making it ideal for serving roast chicken or even just toast in the morning. This is one of the most used objects in our home, used daily and aging gracefully. Finished in food safe oil, they need no looking after just wipe and dry.
This beechwood coat stand is burnt black, oiled and waxed to enrich the natural grain. Additional hooks are placed for extra storage. They are always one off and bring some nature into your home.
