THE STYLE: Pretty Ada has been a favourite style at Palava for many years. A timeless shape - she looks as much at home today as she would have done in the 1950s. Deep pleats at the waist add volume to her skirt, her flattering length makes her easy to dress up or down and, of course, she has characteristic deep Palava pockets.
THE FABRIC: Our linen-cotton blend fabric gets the best of both worlds - the cool, summery feel of linen with a much less crinkly finish. The texture and weight gives a beautiful structure and shape to our skirts. The cloth is woven and printed for us in Turkey, where we are proud to have visited the weavers and growers.
Please note, a slight slubbing can occur on linen. This is part of its charm and gives the cloth its coveted vintage feel. Do not pick or snip at the slubs! They are part of the fabrics character and intrinsic to its structure.
