Palava - The Story of AW25
This season we present a small but beautifully tailored collection. Palava delves deep into tradition, blending our signature love for intricate border prints with a newfound affection for earthy folk aesthetics.
The Roots of Folk
Autumn was once a season of reflection and storytelling, as the hard work of harvest gave way to feasting and gathering before winter. Ballads and folk tales about the changing seasons and farming life were shared by the fireside.
The North East and Yorkshire are rich in folk traditions, seasonal rituals, and forgotten words that give us insight into the lives of farmers, fishermen, and rural communities of the past.
The Prints, A Closer Look
Each season our prints are the heart of the collection. Over the coming weeks we will be sharing the stories behind each print in this collection. From their historic inspirations to the way Bryony reimagined them for today, each design carries its own tale.
Keep an eye out as we reveal them here!
Who is Behind the Collection
Palava might look like a big company but in truth we are a little team of eight. Half of us are based in London, working from our shop and studio near King’s Cross, while the other half is nestled between the Yorkshire Dales.
At the heart of our designs is Bryony, who founded Palava more than fifteen years ago and still creates nearly all of our prints today. Her involvement in the design process ensures we stay true to our signature style, balancing fresh creativity with the timeless charm that defines Palava.
There is never a dull moment at Palava, only a whole lot of passion, creativity, and love for what we do.
