100% Cotton

Please note: This is an archive fabric so will not feel the same as the other SS23 Louise dresses. Cotton is a staple across our classic Palava styles. It’s a natural fibre which is 100% biodegradable and is hypoallergenic. It’s also a strong fibre that is made to last.

British Wool

Our wool cardigans are made from a blend of wool from 2 different breeds of sheep: Blue Faced Leicester and Masham, to ensure it is hard-wearing as well as soft. Our 100% British Wool is dyed especially for us by Laxtons in Yorkshire who have more than 100 years of expertise in British wool. It's also worth mentioning that the British Wool that we use is from non-mulesed sheep.

Cotton Corduroy

Made using the softest cotton corduroy, woven in Europe, Wilma trousers are an absolute dream to wear. We use Corozo nut buttons - an ethical, sustainable and biodegradable alternative to plastic. A favourite choice in the 1920s.

Cotton Jersey

Our Cotton Jersey is 100% organic and contains no elastane. The unique weave of cotton jersey allows it to stretch - it's not woven on a loom, it's knitted. This roll comes from our trusty partner Guray in Turkey and it's been waiting in our warehouse for the perfect moment to shine.

70% Cotton - 30% Linen Blend

Linen is a natural fibre made from flax plants, a plant which grows without the need for fertilizers or pesticides. We have blended it with organic cotton to make a luxurious fabric that is strong, durable and practical. Please Note: As our linen-cotton blend is made from 100% natural fibres, little flecks may appear in the print. These irregularities are part of the beauty of natural fabrics.

50% Cotton - 50% Linen Blend

Linen is a natural fibre made from flax plants, a plant which grows without the need for fertilizers or pesticides. We have blended it with organic cotton to make a luxurious fabric that is strong, durable and practical. Please Note: As our linen-cotton blend is made from 100% natural fibres, little flecks may appear in the print. These irregularities are part of the beauty of natural fabrics.

Cotton Linen Blend with British Wool Filling

The outer is made from our linen-cotton blend that is woven and printed especially for us in Turkey. Please note, a slight slubbing can occur on linen. This is part of its charm and gives the cloth its coveted vintage feel. Do not pick or snip at the slubs! They are part of the fabric's character and intrinsic to its structure. Our aga covers and oven gloves are filled with 100% wool from British sheep, which has natural anti-bacterial and insulating properties - a natural alternative to polyester filling.

Organic Cotton Sateen

Organic cotton sateen fabric is made from 100% Cotton, hence the name. This particular type of fabric contains a subtle sheen and offers a soft-to-touch finish with great colour detail.

Cotton Voile

Straight from the Palava archives this dress is practically one of a kind! We've been saving this cotton voile for just the right collection, producing only a limited amount. The fabric is made from 100% cotton and is dyed in the UK - close to home is where we like it!

Harris Tweed

Our heritage riding jackets are made from original Harris Tweed, spun and woven in the Outer Hebrides. They are lined with our very own Palava fabrics.

Hemp - Organic Cotton Blend

A perfect summer weight fabric that is light and breathable, beautifully soft to touch yet also holds its own and gives a pretty structure to garments. Hemp is a truly exciting material that is one of the world's most sustainable fibres. Our Organic Cotton is grown in Turkey, where it is then blended with the hemp and printed upon.

Linen

Linen is a fabric that evokes summer days, relaxed sophistication and a timeless aesthetic. It’s an incredibly durable fabric which gets progressively softer as it’s worn and washed. It is made from the flax plant - a naturally pest-resistant crop that requires little irrigation and can grow in poor-quality soil.

Natural Unbleached Cotton

We have been saving this cotton print for just the right time. Saved in the archive we have now found the perfect collection to use it. A gem of a print back in a limited amount. Organic Cotton Yarn

Our cotton knitwear is all made in Turkey by Guray and his team. We use a fine gauge knit cotton that is 100% organic and dyed especially for us with OEKO-Tex certified dyes.

Organic Cotton Twill

Our Organic Cotton Twill is perfect for those cooler months when we need a little extra warmth from our clothes. It has more substance and structure and is a little hardier for winter. All of Palava’s organic cotton is grown, spun and printed in Turkey.
