Where did it start ? Whats the inspiration?

This summer, we’re rolling out the bunting and heading down to the village fête.

Where the grass is freshly mown, the tents are stripey, and fun is in the air .

Come with us,

Take a chance at the coconut shy

Display your bestest and biggest vegetables,

Line up to taste the best sponge in town.

Give your dog a quick spruce for best in show

Collect your Rosette on the podium.

What prints are coming ?

Just like every prize, every print in this collection tells a part of the story.

Ribbons, rosettes, flower arrangements waiting to be judged, and the quiet thrill of hoping your strawberries might just take first prize.

It’s a true Palava summer, and the fête is in full swing!

Behind the collection

Palava is a small team has so much fun putting the collection together, from print to deciding on style to finding props, this collection was especially fun.

Dogs, cardboard cakes at the WI stand and just the right level of chaos.

A dream of a simpler life

Life gets complicated and we forget we don’t need much to make us happy. Summer comes and goes and as it comes we mean to embrace it with both hands, let the sun warm our skin and enjoy the moment for what it is. Laughter doesn't come in a jar. It comes from sharing. food, making and doing.

Remembering the simpler things in life takes the stress away. We don’t need much, it doesn't need to be perfect. A make do and mend attitude brings us together. Growing, baking, making something slightly squiffy and being proud.

Most of all it’s the being involved that gives us an excuse to feel needed and an excuse to be there, in that moment.
