What to wear to Wimbledon 2026
Wimbledon is nearly here, and there is something very particular about dressing for a British summer day at the tennis.
You need clothes that can survive a little bit of everything. Sunshine, shade, long walks between courts, sitting on grass, strawberries and cream, and the inevitable moment when somebody says, “I think it might rain.”

The atmosphere at Wimbledon is smart, but never overly polished. It is one of those rare occasions where practicality and elegance seem to work beautifully together.
If you are wondering what to wear to Wimbledon this summer, here are a few Palava favourites we think are made for exactly that sort of day.

Dresses you can actually wear all day
A good Wimbledon dress should feel easy to sit in for hours, comfortable enough to wander around in, and practical enough to carry all your bits and pieces without sacrificing style.
Which is partly why we insist on deep pockets in everything.
Louise Teal Checks
The Louise dress is one of our staples, a classic shirt-dress with a little structure, a full skirt, deep pockets, and a soft teal check that feels wonderfully summery.
Made from a breathable blend of linen and organic cotton, she feels light enough for warm days yet has enough weight to sit beautifully.
There is something about a check dress at Wimbledon that just feels right.

Tabatha Blue Tennis
If there were ever a dress designed for Wimbledon season, this might be it. Just look at that tennis-racket print!
Tabatha is a newer shape for us, with soft tiers and a relaxed fit that feels comfortable enough for a whole day out.
Made in organic cotton sateen, she feels soft, breathable, and wonderfully easy to wear in the heat.

Rita Red Strawberries
Wimbledon and strawberries belong together.
Each strawberry in this print was hand-drawn by Bryony, and no two are quite the same.
Rita has a fitted waistband with floaty sleeves, a full skirt and deep pockets. She is practical, elegant, and full of character.
This is the sort of dress that works just as well for the tennis match as it does for a picnic afterwards.

Wimbledon layers, because British weather loves drama
Even on warm days, Wimbledon can become surprisingly chilly once you are sitting in the stands for a few hours.
A cardigan you can throw over your shoulders later in the afternoon is never a bad idea.
Vera Cardigan in Tennis Print
This one feels very Centre Court to us.
Knitted in soft organic cotton with full-length sleeves and an easy fit, our Vera cardigans work with almost everything.

Vera Cardigan in Strawberries
A cardigan that feels a little bit like strawberries and cream.
Soft organic cotton, cheerful colour, and easy enough to tuck into a bag when the sun comes back out.

Skirts, stripes, and that tennis club feeling
Not everybody wants to wear a dress to Wimbledon.
A good striped skirt and comfortable top can feel just as classic, especially paired with sandals, sunglasses, and something cold to drink.
Florence in Blue Stripe
There is just something about a blue stripe in summer. And our Florence skirt is easy to wear, comfortable with an elasticated waist, and practical for long days out.

Trousers for a full day out
Skirts and dresses aren’t for everyone, but we have options for that, too.
Josephine in Mustard Linen
Comfortable for moving and sitting all day, practical if the weather changes, and easy to layer with knitwear later on.
Inspired by wide-legged 1930s trousers, Josephine has an easy shape, deep pockets, and a breathable linen blend that feels ideal for summer.
