What to wear to Goodwood Revival 2026

The iconic Goodwood Revival is almost here!

It’s a great event for vintage motorsport and vintage style. Here at Palava, we’re big fans! We know a lot of you wear our classic styles by the racetrack and we wanted to celebrate that. If you’re looking for vintage-style outfit ideas in bright Palava colours, you’re in the right place.

So let’s get going with some inspo for the festival, with glamorous looks and some classic outfit inspiration so you’ll be ready for Goodwood Revival.

1. Vintage Shapes

Goodwood Revival is a catwalk of post-war era fashion. Many like to dress in second-hand or vintage outfits while others like to choose something new with a classic shape. Whichever you choose, it’s a feast for the eyes seeing so many outfits inspired by the golden age of motorsports and 1940s, 1950s and 1960s fashion.

Palava has always taken inspiration from vintage fashion. Some of our classic shapes are reminiscent of dress styles and shapes from the past. With their elegant necklines and gathered skirts, they are the perfect shape for a vintage-inspired outfit. With our colourful and unique prints, your look gets a modern twist and you’re bound to stand out from the crowd.

Vintage look inspiration:
  • Our flowy Rita dress is the perfect vintage dancing dress. With her cinched-in waist and loose skirt, she creates a classic hourglass silhouette. With her flattering neckline and unique tulip sleeves, she’s a perfect dress for Goodwood. Pair her with a post-war era hat and a cropped cardigan like our Leah, and your outfit is complete! Oh and did we mention, she has pockets?

  • Our iconic Vera Cardigans are the perfect colourful addition to build your outfit around. With her vintage silhouette and button-up options, she’s a winner in our book.

Our Vera Cardigans are a wardrobe classic, available in a variety of prints and colours, these vintage inspired cropped cardigans are essential for the unpredictable British weather. Shop all our cardigans by clicking here.

    2. Nostalgic Prints

Many of the prints designed by Bryony, Palava’s founder, are inspired by her childhood and adventures growing up in Yorkshire. The hand-drawn illustrations all along the dresses are full of colour and character. Depicting scenes or showcasing collectable items, the prints are intricate and detailed - the closer you get the more you see! They’re interesting and always spark up a conversation. You’ll see, you’ll stand out from the crowd in a Palava print.

    Printed dress look inspiration:
    • Our Cynthia dress is a great option for classic style with a vintage edge, and is available in a variety of beautifully interesting prints. She’s the perfect dress for standing out from the crowd.

Our Cynthia dress is our most popular style. She also comes in a shorter sleeve... keep reading!
    • Want to beat the heat? Our Louise dress is very similar to the Cynthia dress, but with shorter sleeves. She looks fabulously vintage and comes in a variety of prints.

      3. Classic Tweed

Tweed is a staple at Goodwood. So many lovely visitors to our stall last year had the most amazing tweed suits! Luckily, Palava has its own tweed jacket! Cut in a flattering shape, our riding jacket celebrates British Heritage and is made from authentic Harris Tweed from the outer Hebrides!

      Tweed outfit inspiration:

Our tweed jacket is perfect to pair either with a vintage looking flowy dress like our Rita or over some smart knitted tops and corduroy trousers.

      4. Accessories Make All the Difference

And for the final touches, an accessory or two will always help tie-up a vintage look. Add some vintage cat-eye sunglasses that match your dress, shoes or handbag. Add a classic parasol (or umbrella depending on the weather…) or match your dress to your partner’s tie. Basically anything is permitted as long as it looks like you’ve just walked out of a time machine. And most important of all, don’t forget your red lipstick ;)

And if you would like any accessories to match your Palava outfit, we offer a range of hair ties and scrunchies that add the perfect finishing touch to your look. Shop all our accessories here.

Just wanted to say that I love your clothes but unfortunately I live in Mallorca. I bought some green corduroy trousers last winter on line but I had to pay 40€ tax when I picked them up so it makes things very expensive. I hope one day to go to London and I shall definitely visit your shop. Keep the lovely designs coming!!
